It is with such great excitement that in my newest collection i will be releasing my first range of Throws. Hand screened, with a cotton jersey backing and hand stitched detailing these rustic and charming throws make for a practical but also stylish addition to any house.

As I have been working towards creating a textile range for such a long time I have drawn inspiration from all my travels picking up ideas and visions along the way, and i like to think it reflects highly in my range. The naive tribal prints inspired by the South Pacific/Polynesian islands, the Guadeloup from South america and her adorning roses from Mongolia. Mr Angus the deer from my time spent in Canada and the strelitzia leaf from my time on safari in South Africa. They all come in one size which is 1.2 x 2mtrs but why not stitch two together if you wish for a bigger bedspread (the tribal prints would look especially good this way). Did i mention they also look great as a wall hanging?

I hope you're all as excited as me about the throws, and i cant wait till they hit the stores!

HIPANEMA IN STORE

LAUNCHING ONLINE 18th MARCH 2pm EST

HIPANEMA come into being after two Parisian girls met in Rio.

Inspired by colors den during their travels, the two young blondes from Paris decided to bring back some Brazilian glamour in their suitcases.

Apart from being the "must have" of summer 2012, the HIPANEMA bracelet is a revolutionary concept for all fashionistas wearing trinkets on their wrists.

« I love wearing lots of Brazilian bracelets but having to tie and untie them one by one till they break became a bore » says Delphine.

« After a couple of years it becomes difficult to keep wearing the old discoloured ties and it's not easy to match them with ones wardrobe » replies Jenny.

This is how it all started…

The very chic magnetized clasp offers a great alternative to the holiday bracelets. The Brazilian ties go from being a post-holiday drag to being a real ethnic fashion accessory which livens up our urban wear.

Made from pearls, seashells and multicolored thread, the HIPANEMA bracelets come in 8 different models. The ribbons from Bahia mix with the legendary Copacabana bracelets and the quartz stones with various seashells.

These cuffs can be worn double or triple. The more the merrier !

Featuring the Papaya Cross Pillow 2014

AHOY TRADER PILLOWS

The Ahoy Papaya collection is inspired by one of my favourite fruits the "papaya" or what us Aussies call ' PAW PAW'... (i just like the sound of Pa-pay-a) The contrast of the Black dots and the dark green seeds mixed with the deep yellows and burnt oranges that merge into pinks,  I think you must agree create a very striking colour combination.

I was painting a portrait for a new upcoming series/ exhibition (stay tuned details to be announced soon) and in this particular piece i painted a "handful" of paw paws. This my friends is where i drew the inspiration for the collection of eight pillows.
They are screen printed onto Cotton Chord so they feel lovely and also being filled with feather down inserts makes for a lush and striking focal point in any part of your home.
They will all be hitting stores (including our Byron Bay Store) Mid April. I am very excited to see these beautiful pillows adoring some magnificent creative homes. x Jai

NEW ART TILES

PINA COLADA

New Colour Gradients

PINEAPPLES!!!!! who doesn't love pineapples? Everyones pineapple crazy at the moment. My new colour palate was id have to say slightly influenced by pineapples, but also touching on citrus fruits and earth tones. I like to think that the new colour gradients on the tiles makes for a slightly modern but true to form rustic charm on the newest range of tiles.

METAL & TIN MOULD CROSSES

From RIO to IBIZA

The day of the dead (south America) and carnival (Brazil) were the inspiration for this newest edition to the cross range. I like the rustic-ness of the recycled tin mixed with the sparkle of the crystals and adornments of shells combined. They reflect many places ive visited which were impoverished at first glance but in the times of their festivals the people there show they have the ability to overcome this and be so resourceful and creative.

PORTHOLES

Nature Inspired

I take special note in the native flora and fauna of all the countries I've visited, but its irrefutable that Africa would have to be the country with one of the greatest impact when it comes to this.
